Under the motor regulations fire en gines are permitted to carry a red front light, but the first brigade to take advantage of this clause is the. Wanganui Central Fire Brigade. One of the brigade's engines has been equipped with a powerful red light, and on a trial run being made the engine was easily distinguishable from other traffic.
