In connection with the appointment of an auctioneering firm for the 1935 sale, a vote of members was taken. to decide which firm should be engaged, and this resulted in the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company being selected. It is the desire of the present committee that the standard of offerings at the •sale, should be raised, and with this object in view it is proposed that the inspection committee he requested to insist upon animals being in good condition and of presentable appearance, otherwise they will be stood down until the end of their section of the catalogue. This year the catalogue is to be compiled in two sections. The first will comprise all qualified animals and the second all others. So far action m this direction has not 'been taken, as with the recent formation of a strong Young Fanners’ Club it is anticipated that the cup will be required for its original purpose. “Herd Books. —During the year Herd Book Volume 14 was secured and now tlie only missing, volume is No. 2. which appears to be .unprocurable. “Membership.—There has been a steady increase in members, and, including those joined up for the incoming year, the roll now stands at 43. “Club Rules. —Rules for the control and guidance of the club have lioon
