GROSS AND HANDICAP The gross score competition for the first of the July Tankards was won by ft. Jenkins, who on three optional rounds, plus a test round, returned a gross of 304. D. Barry was closest to the winner with 307 off the club, and W. D. Barker’s gross was 308. Their individual rounds were as under : R Jenkins, 77. 77, 75 and 75-304. D. Barry, 77, 77, 75, 78—307. W. I). Barker. 76, 76, 76, 80—308. In tile handicap tankard competition, two optional rounds plus a test round, G. M. Reynolds, with a handicap of 18. won by a. single-stroke margin from !£. R.
