SUDDEN COLLAPSE

COUNTY CLERK’S DEATH (Por Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, this day. The death ■ occurred suddenly tliis morning of Mr, Robert Owen Ellis, aged 65 years, clerk to the Taranaki County Council. He collapsed shortly after reaching the, office. Born in Westport, Mr. Ellis took a Taranaki bush farm but left it for accountancy. He was appointed county clerk about 30 years ago. A talented musician, he occupied bis spare time in teaching the violin. Ho is survived by liis widow arid five sons.
