TE KARAKA NEWS
(Herald Correspondent.) A 'most enjoyable flag five-hundred evening was held at Kanakanaia on Friday in aid of the school funds. The winners of the games were Miss Steele. Mrs. Swainson, Mr. .Morris and Mr. Trotter; other prizes were awarded to Mrs. Castles, Mrs. Ribbon. Mr. T. ■Steele and Mr. 1). Morris. A delicious supper was provided by the ladies of the district. Among those present were Mesdamcs Ribbon, Swainson. Morris. O'Connell, Castles and Hobbs; .Misses lloldsworth, S. Fraser, M. and .1. Steel, M. Ribbon, and X. Castles; .Messrs. A, Anderson, M. McDonald, RFraser, A. Atkins, Young, M. Orr, F. Twigg, 0. Ribbon, T. Steel. L. Morris, B. Morris, 11. Trotter. F. Charteris, Davis, ,T. Mo,ms and R. Euru. Miss Barbara Sleddon, Gisborne, spent the week-end with Mrs. J. C Appleton. Te Karaka.
