CHILD EMIGRATION £60,000 SUBSCRIBED LONDON, Feb. .14. As tlio result of an appeal by (lie Prince of Wales, the Child Emigration ■Society’s fund has reached £(>0,000, from which the society has purchased 1000 acres at Vancouver Island and established nt Fairbridge a farm school, similar to that in Western Australia.
The Times, in a leading article,, says that child emigration is the only form of organised settlement in the J)o----minion.s which has survived the recent difficult years. The society is contemplating the establishment of two more new schools, probably in Queensland and New Zealand.
