The New Zealand gelding, Supreme Court, lias been unable to race in Sydney. it is understood, because C. McDonell, who brought him here, iailod to obtain a trainer’s permit. The gelding was entered for recent events, but die nomination was rejected, (bough ho is in charge of a licensed hairier, J. Cain. It was thought that the rejection was due to a) technicality in that MeDonell’s name was given as a trainer in the nomination form. The stewards, however, have given no official reason for their action. It is stated that endeavors are being made to sell Supreme,Court in Australia. Among Australians. intending to bo present at the Trent ham yearling sales arc leading trainers. Jamieson, Price, and J. King.
