SHARKS' NEAR ’ SYDNEY

TWO PERSONS MAULED

SYDNEY, Jan. L

Two vicious attacks, believed to have been made by the one shark, took place in George’s R ; ver, near Sydney, within three hours late yesterday. Richard George Soden, aged years, had his thigh, badly ripped and succumbed to his injuries in hospital. Beryl Gladys Moorin, aged 13 years, was horribly mauled, being taken from the water in a critical condition. Doctors later amputated both her arms. In each case men gallantly entered the the water and helped the victims ashore.
