'The British film, “Man of Aran,” which is based on the life -of‘fisher. folk on a lonely island off the north-west coast of Ireland has been awarded first puzo of merit by the United States National Board of Review, for motion pictures and de.clared the best film of the past year.. This is the first time that a British film has won such a distinction.
