COLLISION WITH BIRD
AEROPLANE WRECKED PILOT’S LUCKY ESCAPE (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn,) (Received March 2, 11 a.m.) CALCUTTA, March 1. A French solo flyer, en route from Saigon to Paris, had a narrow escape this morning, shortly after leaving Calcutta, when a vulture crashed into his machine, which made a forced landing and burst into flames, but'the pilot escaped.
