EXILE FROM GERMANY
Dr. Benno Monhoimer, a Jewish exile who has arrived at; Wellington with the intention of settling in New Zealand, carries the degrees of Doctor of Medicine and Doctor of Dentistry, and is one of. the few medical men to, be Doctor of Philosophy Cum JAude. Hie beem Vice-president of the South German Hockey Association, and until recently' was known, as one of the most prominent boxing referees in the world. During the war Dr. Monheimer was Stalbsartzt, or staff surgeon, with the German forces, and he was decorated ‘twice He represented Germany on several occasions at international, dental conferences and also the medical profession at the Snake Venom Laboratories 'at Butantan, Brazil, one of the most famous pathological institutions in the world. Owing to the fact of his being a Jew he lost his practice and; was de. prived of all official positions at the of the Hitler revolution. His fiancee, who is a Swiss Jewess, and it at present in Zurich, will join him in New Zealand to be married.
