INTER-SCHOOLS TOURNEY ARRANGEMENTS COMPLETED At a meeting of the executive of the Primary Schools Sports Association, held to-day, considerable discussion took place in regard to the conduct of the annual inter-schools’ tennis tournament, which is held under the auspices of the Poverty Bay and East Coast Lawn Tennis Association towards the end of each school year. Finally it was decided to commence the tournament on Wednesday next, December 13. ft was jeported that application bad been made to the Lawn Tennis Association for the use of suitable local club courts, but to date no intimation had been received regarding which details were, available. The secretary, however, had an assurance from the Tennis Association that arrangements would be finalised before the end of the week. It was resolved to conduct the tournament in live sections, as under:—Boys’ Doubles, two entries from each school; Girls’ Doubles, two entries from eacii school; Mixed Doubles, one boy and one girl from each school; Boys’ Singles, one entry from each school; Girls’ Singles, one entry from each school. Schools were asked to note that in the singles’ sections only those actually nominated would be allowed to participate. It was decided that entries shall close with the secretary, Mr. R. D. Ward. Kaiti School, or with Mr. C. Rigby. Gisborne School, at 3 p.m. next Friday.
