PORT OF GISBORNE DEPARTURES Tuesday, December 5. Poolta, s.s., 6.55 p.m., 1675 tons, W. H. D. Gardiner, for Wellington. Norfolk, s.s., 7.40 p.m., J 0,948 tons, R. 11. Li. McNish, for Auckland, The Waimea left Auckland last night for Gisborne. On completion of discharge and loading here to-morrow she will sail for Napier. The Poolta completed the discharge of lit-r southern cargo here yesterday, and after loading sailed for Wellington, en route to South Island ports to load again for Napier and Gisborne. The Tituki, loading for Napier and Gisborne, leaves Dunedin to-day, Timaru to-morrow, LvttelUm on Friday, thence Wellington, ibe vessel is due at Gisborne abuul Tuesday next. The Kitii (Captain F. W. Collins), from Westport and Greymouth with coal for Napier and Gisborne, is en route to Napier. The vessel is due at Gisborne about Saturday. The Aorangi leaves Vancouver to-day for Honolulu, Suva, Auckland and Sydney. Tho Niagara leaves Sydney to-morrow for Auckland, Suva, Honolulu and Vancoins r. Tho Makura, from Sydney, via ports, arrives at San Francisco on December 15. Tho Maungamii, from San Francisco, Papeete and Rarotonga, arrives at Wellington on Monday next, and sails on December 12 for Sydney. The Federal Line steamer Norfolk completed the loading of frozen meat and general cargo for United Kingdom ports here iwepterday and sailed for Auckland. The Margaret \V. is due at Tokomaru Bay to-morrow afternoon from Westport to discharge coal. She is expected to sail on Saturday for Hicks Bay and Auckland. The Tiroa- left Auckland last night for the Coast and Gisborne. The vessel is expected to arrive here on Friday.
The Paluira cleared Auckland at I p.m. yesterday with cargo for the Coast, Gisborne and Napier. She is due here to-morrow.
The Pukeko is en route to Portland front Coast bays. The vessel sails later for Auckland on Tuesday for the Coa„st, Gisborne and Napier.
The Alwyn G. loaded maize and empty drums to-day and is to sail to-night for Auckland.
The chartered steamer Canonesa, en route from London to Wellington in ballast, lias reported that she expects to arrive at Wellington this evening. She is to commence her homeward loading at Wellington and will leave again next Monday for Picton, Gisborne, Opua and Auckland to complete, clearing the lastnamed port finally at daybreak on January 1 for London, via Cape Horn. The hull of the Union Company’s old cargo steamer Kahika found its final resting-place at Dunedin on Monday. The hull, which had been lying at the shore end of the export wharf for several days, was towed to the spit by the tu.' Dunedin. An explosive charge was placed in the hull of the Kahika, and when this was fired site quickly filled and sank alongside the mole. The Kahika is one of the last of the Union Company's old type of cargo carriers to disappear from the seas.
