(Herald Correspondent.) The winners of the flag live-hundred tournament at Koranga last Saturday were Messrs. McPherson, Mitchell, Drummond and Leggett. There was a fair attendance, and it was decided to put the next tournament ahead a week in order not to clash with another function a week later. Mrs. Adams was the lady to secure the most flags and Mr. R. Leggett the gentleman. The result of the last tournament was: —Winners: Messrs. C. Clayton-Greene, W. ldai, G. Monsou, and T. Olsen. Lady with most flags: Mrs Moana. Gentleman with most flags: Mr. J. Bell, who tied with Mr. C. Clayton-Greene and won on the cut. In- order to get. two more evenings in before Christmas, the next meeting will be held on December 2. Nine rubles were occupied on Saturday night. Other prizes were awarded fo Messrs. Foster, Drummond, S. Senton and R. Leggett. Mr. R. Wheeler, who has been on the staff of the Matawai Post Office for the last 5$ years, has been t ransferred to the Whakatane office. —Air. A. Clay-ton-Greene, who had recently been an inmate at Cook Hospital, returned home on Saturday. A further effort to raise funds for the alteration of the tennis courts is to be made by holding a dance in the first week in December. The baskefball girls will assist.
