CHURCH DEDICATED

SERVICE AT REPOROA There was an attendance of about 200 persons at the dedication ceremony of the newly-erected Presbyterian Church at Rcporoa, about 25 miles from Rotorua, on the Taupo road. The church was dedicated by the Rev. J. Aitken, of Gisborne, a past-moderator of the Presbyterian Church. Other visiting ministers were the Revs. J. C. Young and Randerson, and the Ven. Archdeacon Chattertonj, of Rotorua. They were welcomed by the Rev. J. G. Laughton, of Taupo, who is in charge of the district. The building was paid for largely by the juvenile readers of the magazine “Break of Day,” of which Mr. Aitken is editor. They subscribed no less than £525, much of which they worked for. Other subscriptions enabled the church to !vo opened free of debt. Near the church is a neat cottage built to accommodate the local Presbyterian sister.
