Repairs undertaken this morning to a leaky joint on the main pipe-line from Te Arai caused a brief interruption to the town water supply. The defect was not serious and was speedily remedied. Injuries were sustained in an unusual manner by a pupil of the Kaiti School a few days ago. A boy was ringing the bell when suddenly it collapsed, striking him on the bead and foot. Fortunately the injuries were not serious, but the boy suffered from shock, and received medical attention.
