An influenza outbreak is sweeping North-west Tasmania. The Department of Native Affairs has decided to proceed with a tree-planting scheme at Haparangi Mountain, overlooking tile Horohoro block, about nine miles from Rotorua. Under the scheme, 60,(XX) trees, which will he obtained from the Forestry Department’s nurseries and the Native Department’s nurseries atMohaka, will be planted, and the. work will be undertaken by the Native Department in conjunction with the Unemployment Board.
