GOVERNMENT SUBSIDY (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, .this day. An announcement that the Cabinet had decided to provide £2OO for distribution among boys’ and girls’ calf clubs was made Iby the lion. C. E. ‘Macmillan last night. The Minister said that the movement had proved a most valuable one in stimulating and developing interest in farming among scholars of primary schools, and as it had been represented that tho withdrawal of the'Government subsidy was likely to seriously prejudice the work of the clubs, the mutter had been further considered by the Cabinet, which had decided to make available a sum not exceeding £2OO for distribution to clubs. In no case will the subsidy exceed £2O.
