SCHNEIDER CUP PILOT SECRET PLANE CRASHES (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) LONDON, Sept. 11. The Daily Mail says that the Schneider Cup pilot, Lieut. Stanisland, had au amazing escape when a secret new machine got out of control. lie jumped with a parachute, but was thrown back into the cockpit by the rush of wind. The machine dived a further 700 ft. and Lieut. Stanisland jumped again, and landed unhurt. The plane pancaked to earth two miles away and was wrecked.
