£420 COMPENSATION
INJURY TO WORKER (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A claim by Bruce Alurray, a tunnelworker, for £SOO damages against the Grown, for the loss of the index linger of his right hand when working a concrete gun at Tawa Flat, as a result ot an accident in the tunnel works, has been settled by the payment to the suppliant of £370 9s 4d. Tho Chief Justice, Sir Alichael Myers, entered judgment accordingly, expressing satisfaction. Counsel for the Crown said the amount was exclusive, of £49 10s 8d already paid under the Workers’ Compensation Act.
