TWO MEN KILLED TRAGEDY IN A WELL (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Received August 9, 11 a.m.j SYDNEY, August 9. Two men, Harold Drummey, 30, and Thomas Stewart, 23, were killed while inspecting a well near Nyngan. The timbers lining the walls collapsed, and torrents of sand engulfed them. The tragedy occurred about 100 ft. from the surface. Stewart was completely buried by the first fall, and Drummey to the waist. Desperate efforts were made to rescue the latter, but he finally disappeared under a huge rush of sand'. A third man had just' left the well when the accident occurred.
