SPECTACULAR GRASS FIRE
(Per Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, this day. Fanned by a strong nor’wester, lire swept a. large area of grass near Victoria Park, Cashmere llills, last, evening, providing a brilliant spectacle. Fruit farms were menaced temporarily, and then the wind dropped, giving the fire-lighters control after an area a mile square had been swept.
