LONDON, Oct. 8. Sir Charles Higham announces that he and Sir John Milbanke, Sir Walter Peacock, and the Hon. Wilfred Egertdn have undertaken to supervise the distribution to British hospitals of 2o per cent, of the takings of sweepstakes on English races which are to ho conducted at Monte Carlo by the Casino, in conjunction with the International Sporting-Club on simitar lines to the Irish.sweeps. It is expected that the first sweep will be on the Grand National, and will provide the hospitals with £500,000.
