RADIO ACCIDENT
YOUNG MAN ELECTROCUTED SYDNEY, May. 9, Experiments on a radio set ia his home in McGarvie street, Paddington, led to the death of Alfred Edward Perry, 20, about 10 a,m. yesterday. Perry had been keenly interested in wireless, and had frequently experimented with hurt home sot. Yesterday morning he was working on the set when he received an electric shock from a long lead which was attached to an ordinary home power point. Pcri;y collapsed instantly. Faulty insulation on the load which conveyed electricity from the power point t 6 the" radio set, is blamed by the police for the young man’s death. It was noticed that the insulation had been worn away from the wire in several places, and in another part the “live” wife was covered with a piece of flannel, which had apparently been bound round it as a makeshift.
