VITAL STATISTICS

FIGURES FOR GISBORNE The Gisborne vital statistics, both for the month of November and for the year to date, show a satisfactory position. Births have increased and deaths decreased, compared with the figures for the corresponding periods last year, while at the same time approximately the same number of marriages have taken place. The following statistics have been made available by Mr. P. Fulton, register of births, deaths and marriages at Gisborne, the figures in parentheses being those of last year: November: Births, 47 (3X); deaths, IS (21); marriages, 13 (12). Year to date: Births. COG (403); deaths, 159 (174): marriages, 107 (IGG).
