THE SAYONARA OUP OFFER TO NEW ZEALANDER (Per Proas Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. Yachtsmen will be "interested to learn that Mv. A. Johnston, who piloted the Wellington representative Betty to victory in the Banders' Oup contest, has been approached with a view to taking the helm of a Melbourne challenger at 'the next Suyonara Gup contest at Sydney in January.
A! letter received by Mr. Johnston states that the writer has been authorised by a prominent Melbourne yachtsman to suggest that« the Wellington skipper might be prepared to take charge of a Victorian, representative, which is not named. ,
