SUDAN DIFFICULTY
EGYPTIAN TREATY CONFERENCE ADJOURNS LONDON, April 17. In the House of Commons, Mr. Arthur Henderson announced that he had hoped an Anglo-Egyptian agreement would be reached before Easter, but certain points were still presenting difficulties, so the discussions were adjourned until after the holidays. The Egyptian delegation members state that their proposals regarding the Sudan were found unacceptable, and it was necessary to consult the Government of Egypt, and it might even be necessary to send back the Minister to Egypt in order to explain the situation.
