The newspapers state that Mr. Vernon Ilartsford, who was Postmaster General in the previous Labor Government, and who is a member of the Statutory Coinmission on Indian Constitutional Reform, will, at the conclusion in a lew weeks ot the work of this commission, join the Cabinet as Secretary of State for the Colonies. At present "Lord Easslield is Secretary for the Dominions and Colonies, but it is understood that the office will be divided.
