THE ANNUAL TRIALS WINNERS OF TROPHIES (Herald cjorrespondont.) Class 111, the huntaway, concluded the annual trials promoted by the Wairoa County Collie Club. The event resulted: 1) Glynan's Yarrow, 42pls I L. Jex-Blake's Gale, AOpts 8 .1. Bennett's Mick, 39pts 0 li. M. Dalun's King, obpts A K. M. Dalun's Sloj,e, o7pts 5 li. M. Dalmi's Mick, 36pts 6 The maximum number of points was 45. The dance in the evening resulted successfully, and during the evening the prizes won were given out, as follows: Mr. W. Dalun's silver cup, for drovers and shepherds, \Vairou county event: T. Cameron. Mr. P. Dolbel's cup, for maiden competitor and maiden dog winning - most points in classes 1 and II: J. Knox. 1!. Collins and Co.'s rose howl, for maiden competitor scoring most points in classes I, 11, and ill: T. Cameron. YYaikaremoana settlers' silver cup, for maiden dog scoring most points in class III: I). Glynan. Messrs. Thomson and Jonson's silver cup, for class 11 f: D. Glynan. Messrs. Ballin Bros.' silver cup, for champion dog: \V. Whyte. Mr. A. T. Carroll's trophy, for native competitor scoring 55 points or over with one dog in classes 1 and II : S. Lambert. Mr. It. E. Neale's silver-mounted dog collar, for maiden slut scoring most points : S. Lambert, Whippet, cup: li. M. Dnlun. Mr. W. Smith's trophy, for two huntawavs in class 111, and one heading dog in class II: E. M. Dainn. Wairoa Winn and Spirit Co.'s trophies for novices, classes I and II: N. P. Hill 1, C. Indup 2. Novices, class III: J. Moore 1, W. B. Whyte 2.' The cake competition resulted in a tie between 11. I!. Taylor and li. Withers. Six tied in estimating the weight of a sheep.
