(Hurftld Correspondent.) Six girls and three boys belonging In Trinity .Methodist Bible class, accompanied by the minister, the Rev. J. 1). flrocott, are attending the annual Lamps at Hastings and Palmerston North. A!i'. George Grainger, of Otane, is visiting the Wairon district. Ham and dull skies partly spoiled lite holiday so far as out-door functions were concerned, but there was very heavy traffic on the Wairoa-Napior road southwards.
The next excursion to be promoted by lhe Public Works Department, will he from Napier to the fine viaduct over the Waikari River, north of Putorino. The station there has been a fairly busy sput during the summer, It is likely next seasnn will see a further increase in the rail traffic southwards.
