CHINKIANG INCIDENT
COMPENSATION TO BE PAID (British Official Wireless.) Rec. 2 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 13. Tlur -Rational Government of China has agreed to place a sum of 68,000 dollars, or about £6500, at the disposal of two commissioners, one to bo appointed by tile British Government, and one by the Chinese Government, who will jointly scrutinise outstanding claims for losses sustained by British subjects at Chinkiahg in 1927, when the British 'concession was overrun by Chinese troops. Claims are to be limited to direct losses sustained by British .subjects, and the total payments made are not to exceed 61,000 dollars,
