Such little support has been given to stock sales at Te Karaka recently that it is maintained that if better yardings are not. forthcoming, at future auctions it may be found necessary to discontinue sales there. The smallest salo for some time was held there yesterday, when only four pens of cattle and four of sheep were offered to a small attendance of buyers. All the sheep were sold, but there was a poor demand for the cattle, most of which were returned home.
