INCREASE IN BOUNTY SYDNEY; "Nov. S. The increase to -lid a lb. in the butler bounty, to take effect next year, is going to add a big lax to the consumer. Actually It will put $3,000,000 on lo the annual butter billy since "prices are going lo be maintained at -Ud a lb. above world parity, with the result that Australian butter will be cheaper in London than lierc. Another way of putting it is .that Australian consumers will be paying an annual .fax of almost £'1,000,000 on their butter bill. All the same the decision of the Australian stabilisation committee to raise the export bounty on butter from ■ld .to • 1.111 a. lb. did not conic as a surprise.
