REMARKABLE DEVICE
TESTING AIR PILOTS APTITUDE APPARATUS (Elec. Tel. Copyright—United Press Assn.) (Australian Press Assn.—United Service, l (Received Julv 25, noon.) LONDON, July 24. A remarkable device, the Reid aptitude apparatus, costing almost £IOOO, has been shipped to Melbourne to the order of the Royal Australian Air Force. It is reputed to be wellnigh infallible in testing the suitability of candidates for military and civil flying, and also the maintenance of fitness after being in the service. Jt is of simple mechanism, like a cockpit with gears.
