lii Hie House of Representatives Mr. J. R. Hamilton (Awaruu) asked the Minister of Public Works whether he would look into tho reason for demanding that motor-ear owners should have their tail-lights removed to a position on tho right-hand mudguard ; land, if no good reason could be found for this regulation, would the Government, issue instructions immediately to have tho regulation revoked and thus save any further trouble and expense? The Hon. K. S. Williams, Minister of Public Works, replied that the matter had been looked into. The regulations were circulated in draft form before being issued, and the regulation in question was not objected to by the motor unions of New Zealand or by the Motor Traders’ Association.
