ANOTHER DEFEAT

LEAGUE TEAM AT HOME. BEATEN BY HUDDESFIELD. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Association.) LONDON, November 6. Huddesheld defeated the New Zealand Leaguo footballers by 10 points to 8. Tho visitors' team was as under: Dufty, Brown, Brisbane, Kirwin, Sanders, Delgrosso, Hall, Menzics, Pavkes, Herring, Mason, Avery, and Thomas. Heavy rain in the morning reduced the attendance to 15000. The All Blacks had a most unfortunate experience. Hall, who was the best player on the field, broke his arm in tho second spell and was sent to hospital. The-team also had considerable difficulty playing the greasy ball. Nevertheless they had a. great share of midficld play and were unfortunate to suffer defeat, especially in view of the fact that Huddersiield's first try was duo to Dufty's mistaken impression that Walker had crossed the touohline, so that ho made no attempt to stop him. Waltham got an easy try two minutes later, after which the" defence was superior to all attacks. Dufty failed with a last minute penalty kick which would have enabled the New Zealanders to equalise the scores: otherwise lie kicked and defended ex-

cellently. Brown also was prominent for smart individualism. Walmsley goaled for the homo side. Kirwin'and Brown scored for tho visitors, Dufty goaling one.
