FUNERAL FIGHT

BURIAL HELD-UP. WHOLESALE "K.O.V LONDON, Sept. 22. A fierce riot occurred in a graveyard at Rathinoyle (Ireland), owing to a father and two. sons named Ryan declaring their intention to prevent a burial because they had not received £5 for every grave, although the graveyard was situated in their property. The cortege, owing to the Ryans' threats, halted in the gateway. The mourners summoned the civic guard, who charged the Ryans with batons drawn. A .fierce struggle ensued, in which several guards were knocked out, and not until two of the Ryans had been beaten into unconsciousness, and the third had departed to fetch his gun, was the corpse interred.
