MARINE MISHAPS
INQUIRIES ORDERED. LOSS OF THE OPUA. (Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, last night. In reference to the wreck of the Opua, a nautical inquiry is to be held here on Thursday. The" assessors are Captain A E. Edwin, late master of the Union Company, and Captain M. J. Rogers, of tho Gale. In regard to the Awarua, whose disappearance for three or four days caused considerable anxiety before she was ] icked up on the East Coast by H.M.S. Dunedin an investigation will be held at the Wellington Magistrate's Court to-mor-row before Mr. Riddell. This is the first time that such an investigation has been held jn New Zealand. It is quite a different [procedure from a nautical inquiry. ____.
