William Leifler. a contractor, walked into the police station at Springfield (Mo.) at midnight alul said lie. had killed 111* Rev. Edward Gillum, aged 50. Leifler said that Gillum, who was conducting evangelistic services, had wrecked his home, Leifler’s wile corroborated I lie story, saying that Leifler had returned home, to find the clergyman, mid had crushed in his skull with an Indian eluh.
