LICENSING MATTERS.
CISBORNE COMMITTEE MEETS.
The annual meeting of the Cisborne Incensing Committee was held this afternoon, Mr. Ei. C. Levvey, S.M., presiding. There were also present: Messrs. W. Lissant Clayton, H. H. DeG'osta, A. M. Coleman, and I). J. Parker.
inspector Eccles appeared for | the police, and Messrs. J. N. Billiard, N. H. Bull, it. Uambrill, J. S. Wauchop, and J. Bradley Smith appeared on behalf of licensees.
The police,' and Health Officer, reported favorably upon all the hotels in the district, it being stated that, in every case where improvements or renovations had been recommended the work; had been carried out, or was proceeding satisfactorily.
The application of Herbert William Hawkins for a license for the Muriwai hotel was granted, and the following licenses were, renewed : Daniel Murphy, Record Reign hotel; Joseph John Martin, Royal hotel; Donald Clements, Coronation hotel; Michael John Kyne, Albion Club hotel; Joseph Owen Jones, British' Empire hotel; John William Hopper, Masonio hotel ; .lames Henry Martin, Oisborne hotel; Benjamin Hodgson Aislabie, Turanganui hotel; John Garmody, Jtoseland hotel, Makarakn : Oscar Ranurn, The Mot Springs hotel. Morere; John Reuben' Williamson, Wairoa hotel ; Frederick James Single, Ferry hotel, Wairoa; John Edwin Svensen, Clyde hotel, Wairoa. The following wholesale licenses were granted : Leonard Ashwood Friar (The Uisborne Wine and Spirit Co:); Common, Shelton Cisborne; Dalgely mid Co., Wairoa; 1). J. Barry, bid., Cisborne; Williams and Kettle.
