MATAWHERO SALE.

A BIG YARDING. LA ROE ATTENDANCE OP BUYERS, There was a full yarding of stock at the Matawhero sale today, especially considering the time of the year. Much of the stock was of good quality, and both fat sheep and cattle sold at advanced rates, L'p to the luncheon adjournment (lie sale of store sheep was spirited, prices being fully up to last week's values. FAT CATTLE. \ Might fat cows came forward for sale, several of thesa being in prime condition. The best price was £9 ss, while others sold at .from £7 5s to £B. Prices were: 1 heifer, £4; 1 cow, heavy, £8; 2 cows, heavy. £9 ss; 4 cows, heavy. £7 ss. FAT SHEEP. A yarding of 230 head of was brought forward.- Ewes made from 17s 4d to 18s 2d; wethers. 18s 9d to 22s 2d; and lambs, 17s 6d. Prices were: 7>'A ewes, 18s Id; 16 wethers, 18s 9d; 50 wethers, 19s Id: 24 ewes, 17s 4d; 24 lambs, 17s 6d; 24 wethers, 22s 2d; 3 ewes (p), 18s; 3 m.s, sheep (p), 19s 6d; 5 hoggets, 16s; 2 ewes, 18s 6d ; 26 ewes, 18s 2d ; 19 ewes, 18s; 3 ewes (p), 21s Id; 4 ewes, heavy skin, 225; 15 ewes, l'7s 6d. PICS. The yarding of pigs was slightly greater than last week, seventeen being brought forward and selling at higher prices than have been ruling lately. Porkers made from £2 Is to £2! lis; slips from 12s 6d to 15s 6d. and weaners 14s. Prices were: 3 slips, 16s 6d : 3 slips, 12s 6d; 1 porker. £2 lis; 1 porker, £2 Is; 1 porker. £2 4s; 8 weaners, good, 14s. STORE SHEEP. Up til! the luncheon adjournment, approximately 3000 store sheep had been offered. Many of these were in good condition, ami last week's prices were well maintained. Hoggets made M.s 6d to 15s 3d, wethers 19s to 19s) 3d, and ewes 10s 6d to 17s, while poorer sorts sold for fis 6d.
