THE RECENT MURDER

(Reuter’s Telegram.) WASHINGTON, July 31. The Persian -Government has assured the State Department that it wili lake steps in regard to the Rubric incident, leaving no ground whatever for anxiety on the part of the United States Government. Replying to the American communication regarding the . full protection of Americans in Persia, and the threatening ,to break off of diplomatic relations as a. result of the killing of ViceConsul Imbrie and subsequent attack upon his wife, the Persian Government declared that it would repair the incident and fulfil tlie points suggested by the United States.
