BEAM STATIONS TO' BE ERECTED
(Reuter's Telegram.) (Received August 2, 1 p.m.) LONDON, August 1. In reference to the agreement with Marconi’s, Mr Hartshorn said lie understood arrangements were now being made with Australia and South Africa for the erection of beam stations as already arranged with Canada. Replying to critics Mr Hartshorn contended that if at the end 1 of twelve months they took over the service, which compiled with all stipulated guarantees, it. would- be a substantial and profitable business. He hoped the erection would he begun almost immediately after ratification of the agreement. ,
