A SECRETARY’S CRIMES,

BLENHEIM, last night. Garth Robert Gill, ex-secretary„of the Havelock Town Board, pleaded guilty to charges of theft of the Board’s funds, totalling £240 10s 7d, also to forging the name “J. Pope” to a voucher for £2. Accused was committed to the Supreme Court, Wellington, for sentence, bail being . allowed in £250 and two sureties of a like amount.
