ALLEGED FORGERY.

MASTERTON, last night.
As the result of investigations, by the Audit Department, Thos. R. Southall, secretary of the Masterton Racing Club, and formerly secretary of. the Masterton branch of the Repatriation Department, wag arrested to-day on a charge that ho did on March 27, 1922, at Masterton, forge the name of “W. R. Walker” to a treasury voucher of £SO. The accused appeared at the Magistrate’s Court and was remanded till July 17, when investigations will .be completed and further charges will be preferred.
