v ’ CHRISTCHURCH, April 1. At King Edwai’d Barracks last night Flynn (Auckland) defeated Gunn (Timaru) for the feather-weight championship of Neiv Zealand and a purse of £125. Flynn held the advantage up to tho ninth round and sent his opponent to the boards several times. The referee stopped the fight. The amateur bouts resulted as follows : Thompson (Christchurch), defeated Nelson (Greymuuth); Pengelly beat N. Moulin; and Howell beat Ennis.
