Their best ball was 66 an.l their opponents’ 68. P.B. CLUB’S TOURNAMENT. Tho Poverty Bay' Golf Club have been conducting a, tournament over the Easter holidays. The entries in tho different sections have been good, and the contests, keen. The results up to yesterday afternoon were as under:— TQIJRNAAIENT jMATCII. First round: Harvey beat Clare, 7 up and 5; Seddon beat Watson, 3 up and 2; Noel Bull beat Dobson, 3 and 2; Salmon beat Gambrill, 2 and 1; GoVer beat Chamberlain, 5 and 4; Jones beat- Jenkinson, 1 lip: Irvine beut Gray r , 2 up; Galvin beat Kelly, 2 and 1. .Second round: Seddon beat Harvey’, 1 up; Noel Bull beat Salmon, 3 and 2; Gover beat Jones, 3 and 1; Irvine- beat Galvin, 2 and 1. Third round: Noel Bull beat Seddon, 3 and 2; Irvine beat Gover, 2 and 1. The medal round (sealed handicap) on Saturday morning resulted in a tie between Salmon, Dobson, and Jones. The bogey' match in tho afternoon was won by J. Harvey, 1 up, with Balfour; 2 down, second. The approaching competition was won by Balfour. Yesterday. morning the bogey match was won-by Balfour, 3 up, with G. AY. Willock, 2 up, second. The teams’ match yesterday afternoon -was won by the captain’s team (Air. J. Barns-Graliam). Tho bogey competition in connection therewith was won by Gambrill, 1 up, with Galvin, 2 down, second. The approaching competition avas won by Gover. i The professional is now booking for coaching.
