GISBORNE SITTINGS,

Tho sittings of the Conciliation Council under Mr. P. Hally,' were to have, opened this morning with, tho hearing of tho shearers' dispute, but owing to the Union not receiving notice of the meeting in time, from the Clerk.of Awards, it was not found possible, to. appoint assessors for a sitting to-day. As a consequence, Mr- Hally adjourned the hearing until to-morrow morning, .■■ • Immediately after the hearing of the shearers' case, tho drovers' dispute wilpbo called on to-morrow, and on Saturday morning Mr. Hally. will hear tho printers' case. Ho hopes to leave on his return to Wellington, via Auckland, on Saturday.
