July 24, 10.30 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 22, Yachting experts have pointed out that Shamrock, which was expected to be a good sailer m a heavy wind, and Resolute, a better boat m a light wind, demonstrated their ability, to sail m both kinds of Weather. Shamrock sailed to victory m the second race [subsequently reversed on the time limit] m the slightest .of breezes, while Resolute won m a twelve- "* knot breeze, showing remarkable despite Shamrock's greater spread of canvas. Th'e fourth race will be sailed on July 23. Sir Thomas Lipton, m a statement, said : "Resolute's victory means that we have a good fight on our hands, which is just what I want. Three straight victories was something which, never appealed to me." ' _______ •
