A.I.F. ELEVEN PROSPECTS NOT BRIGHT.
LONDON, Feb. 7.— The prospects of the A.I.F. cricket tour are still clouded. A prominent Australian player thinks that the difficulties are insurmountable. It was believed that the tour would not seriously delay the repatriation of participants, but the speeding up of demobilisation has altered the claims to priority. Unless tempted by high terms, Massey, Macartney, Kelleway, and Barbour, who are entitled to*early repatriation, are all anxious to retux'n to Australia. The tour, it was expected I ,' would commence m May, and end m September. Cricketers prefer to abandon the project rather than select a weak team. They would be willing to organise minor military matches.'
